Need help cleaning up PC. HJT log included.

Hello, I have recently acquired a bunch of trojens/viruses/malware etc. and have cleaned most of it up, but I believe some of it is still slowing my computer down, any help would be greatly appriciated. HJT log attached below.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Your system has been hijacked.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.


Post fresh HJT and AVG Antispyware logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Download and run the Blacklight programme. follow all the instructions carefully.

Then, do the following.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE.

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how HERE.

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE.


Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

keygen.exe

Close task manager.

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {2F733039-EEDC-FA46-3E69-6FE2D2D5A0FE} - (no file)

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=userinit.exe

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{78F9E221-97F3-41F3-AAD7-5E85DAD19ACE}: NameServer = 85.255.116.158,85.255.112.181

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{F082C3A9-AE25-4611-AFEC-C2D6EDB05F7B}: NameServer = 85.255.116.158,85.255.112.181

O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{78F9E221-97F3-41F3-AAD7-5E85DAD19ACE}: NameServer = 85.255.116.158,85.255.112.181

O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\..\{78F9E221-97F3-41F3-AAD7-5E85DAD19ACE}: NameServer = 85.255.116.158,85.255.112.181

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Locate and delete the following bold files and/or directories(if there).

C:\Documents and Settings\Scott Minnick\My Documents\Downloads\keygen.exe

Reboot into normal mode, turn system restore back on and rehide your protected OS files.

Post a fresh HJT log and let me know how your system is running.

Your HJT log is now clean.

From what I can gather the 017 hijack, which is a real nasty, is caused by downloading xbox games or some such.

Not that I`m accusing you of doing any such thing. I`m just warning you of the possible consequences. ;)

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.
