need help on oblivion someone please

i went to deliver jaks boots to the grey fox and instead of giving them to him i asked him about his history anyway now i dont no what to do i still hav the boots and whenever i go to talk to him all he says is "not now im thinking" what do i do? help please!!!!!!!!
