Need help with a Dialer.Trojan

Recently, I've been annoyed with various pop-ups from my antivirus, and antispyware programs. On the antivirus, it clearly states that I have a Dialer.Trojan running, and it cannot be cleaned, or deleted. On the antivirus, it simply states the name of the infected, and gives me options as to clean, quaranteen, or delete it. Though it --neither-- can perform any of the 3 actions.

*Symantec antivirus.

What can I do to fix this annoying set of problems? Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Download the Pocket Killbox programme from HERE. Extract it but don`t run it yet.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial56.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

srvkoc[1].exe
srvnlh[1].exe
bgates[1].exe
srvqup[1].exe
srvaqv[1].exe

Close task manager.

Run the killbox.exe file. When it loads type the full path to the file you would like to delete in the field and check the delete file on reboot button. press the Delete File button (looks like a red circle with a white X). It will prompt you to reboot, select no until you have finished inputting the files you want to delete, only then allow it to reboot and hopefully your files will now be deleted.

These are the filepathes you need to enter into killbox.

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\winC2.tmp

C:\Documents and Settings\Carlos Raul\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\K52B8DYN\srvaqv[1].exe

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\win74.tmp

Once your system has rebooted, turn system restore back on.

Then, go HERE and follow the instructions exactly.

Post a fresh HJT log as an attachment into this thread, only after doing the above.

Ok, I did all of the above... and for the past 2 hours I have not received any pop-ups indicating any form of infection. Thanks so far, I'm sure there's one or two steps left to take before calling it a clean system, right?

Alright, I've just followed the previous instructions, and here's the HJT log.
Thanks again for the help provided... It's helping me quite a lot, though the start-up of my computer seems to be quite slower than before, any idea why this might be?

Carlos Raúl
