Well I ran a scan with AVG anti rootkit and it came up with, Root kit path -- C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\ab9y81rp.SYS -- Rootkit type -- Hidden driver file. So what I was wondering, is it ok to get rid of it. I am not really sure if I should cuse it says its a "Hidden driver file". If I get rid of it I am worried that my OS needs it or something and it will mess it up. Any help would be great thanks.

I can find absolutely no info on that file.

This is usually a good indication that it`s bad. However, it would be sensible to make a system restore point first, just in case of problems. Then, have AVG Antirootkit fix it.

Regards Howard :)

Hmmmm... ok. Maybe I will just forget it for now. I was thinking about reformatting anyway cuse my system has seemed not to be right ever since I had gotten some viruses taken care of.
