Need help with my PC

Hey, I'm new to this forum and I need help with my new computer.
I just bought it from ibuypower. I installed XP home
The problem is that whenever I try to play games, It's not outputting the performance I thought it would. The games are choppy even on the lowest settings. I already installed the latest video card driver, and the motherboard driver. I formatted twice also. I dont know what to do.
Here are my system stats
Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard
Q6600 quadcore
2gb ram
2 nVidia 7100 GS SLI vid cards
I installed CS:Source and tried playing it, It put my suggested settings up all of the way, but it would run very slow
I really need help trying to set this stuff up because I'm starting to think that maybe the hardware isnt compatible or just messed up. If I dont get it fixed, then I'm calling ibuypower and returning it. I really dont want to. Any help would be appreciated.

i had problems with my dual core on xp when i first installed it.... playing games was just so buggy. Had to install the dual core optimzer and that fixed all my gaming related problems. But your running an intel processor. So i'm not sure if my resolution will apply to you, but perhaps give u an idea of a solution
