Need help with upgrading

Hi all, I'm trying to make my computer run smoother but don't know how since I dont know much about computers.

My computer specs are:
motherboard: ASUS P5P800S
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06 GHz
Memory: 1 GB
Video Card: Radeon X1050 series

I want to make my computer run games more smoothly and i need suggestions to how (like get more rams, replace video card, etc).

You can upgrade to an agp card, but that's not so important as ram if you're just using your pc basic task. So what are you doing with this pc?

T've been using it to play games but the fps is very low. But for other basic tasks its pretty good.

you need more memory... at least 2 GB...
Then you may want to look at upgrading your video graphics card.

A Pentium 4 is too slow for modern games no matter what speed and amount of memory. IMO

And if you upgrade your card, you will have to upgrade your cpu too. Likewise, upgrading your cpu alone shouldn't help much.

Upgrade the video card and RAM as raybay suggested. Note that depending on the card, you may also need a new PSU.

IMO, spend $500 or so and get a new PC instead. It will be significantly faster than what you currently have.

I agree with Rage. $500 is not easily found these days, but it will save you money in the long run and you will be happy you did it...
