Need new laptop

Am looking to replace my Lenovo ideaPad yoga 11a. I like the small size for portability and will use it mostly for research, websurfing, word documents, and email. Even with this type of use I want good quality. Don't want problems with the touchpad or lagging after a year or two or similar problems that seems to be in some of the junk out there. Someone suggested a Dell 7000 series but I've read mixed reviews. $700 is my range. A couple of recommendations would be really appreciated.
