Need some advice on cards

    Hi,

    em just looking for some advice on which card to buy.


    MSI Nvidia FX5700 128Mb, DVI/TV-Out

    or

    Radeon 9600 Advantage PRO 128MB DDR DVI-I TV Out

    Ive been looking about for days now and found them to be similar in specs but still cant make a deciscion

    The 5700 & 9600 Pro cards are very similar in performance. The ATI one might have a small advantage when it comes to DX9 games but other then that, they probably performa just as well. I'm leaning towards the nVidia card because MSI is a brand I know quite well, I don't know the brand for the other card.

    thats what i was thinking, the ATI card is a:

    Sapphire RADEON 9600 Atlantis Pro ADVANTAGE Edition - graphics adapter - RADEON 9600 PRO - 128 MB

    Oh, it's a Sapphire, that's a good brand. What is it you intend to do the most with the card ? TV-out is better on ATI cards, nVidia has much better Linux drivers, etc.

    It really depends on what you're going to do with it.
