I have a Netgear WG111t usb wireless adapter on an HP computer that is about 5 years old. The problem is that every couple hours the wireless connection drops and it has to be unplugged, or the computer reset in order for it to connect again. However, I tried the usb adapter on 2 of my newer computers and it worked flawlessly. Is it something with the USB ports on the HP? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well it could be plenty of things..
try with no other USB devices plugged in, try on the ports on the back of the PC or if you use an extension cable plug it in directly to the USB port.
check that you have no objects blocking/interfering with the signal - cd towers, radios, EMF emitting devices, chordless phones, etc from both router and adapter
check what it does to your actual network connections - https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic55006.html
