If you have TweakUi for WinXP from Microsoft, in there is a tab on which you can set what to show.
D/L it for free from MS.

My Network Places is auto-sensing to a degree. To get things added, you have to share directories- it usually doesn't add computers, only folders within the computers.

From the entire network, can you see the machines as is?

If not, you may need to enable netbios over TCP/IP, or you may wish to install IPX/SPX (My preferred solution for local networking) and enable netbios over that. If you need help on how to do that, you can look it up or ask, we'll help ya.
