A friend of mine just changed from dial-up to broadband.
The ADSL-modem connects to the PC via RJ45/Ethernet.
    He has Windows ME installed.
Under dial-up, the network-icon used to show up in Systray, but there is nothing visible now when using broadband.

Anybody know how to get that icon back in the Systray when he goes online?

Isn't it possible to ask WindowsME to show the Local Area Connection icon ?

If his modem is connected to his Ethernet card, he can use that Icon & maybe something like DUMeter if he wants more info.

That option seems to be missing in ME

i think it is missing on win me, i got the same results when i tried adding it on, and the only option i saw was within the dail up networking and nothing under the "my network places" for broadband, which kinda sucks....

p.s. if u do find out how to add it, please post as i'm interested in that as well:)
