Network/Internet problem

I recently did a system reinstall because I was having errors and now my internet is having problems. I have a motorola cable modem and a linksys router. I use mozilla firefox and sometimes I have to go to network connections and hit repair and then it will work.

I was having cable problems
thought it was the router it was not
try resetting the router allow the router to be DHCP server
also make nic cards static get dns from router
check your modem 192 168.100.1 status signal power should not be under -5db I don't care what they say, I even had problems at -3db had them install new line
now never under 1db still got some slow connection issues
I think comcast wants to rent us there routers and will not help at all if they don't
I am on comcast ,Pittsburgh
