Network issue

I cant find a networking section on the website but this does have to do with my laptop.

I recently installed 7 on my laptop and connected to my router just fine..but when i connect its almost like it puts my network on hold and resets itself. This did not happen when i used this comp before on this network but for some reason its giving me issues now.

I do have any wireless restrictions as far as mac security, only a pass phrase...which wouldnt matter because i eventually connect to the internet.

make sure you're using DHCP and not Static IP configuration info -- let the router config the system.

im set to autoconfig with the DHCP setting..any other reasons u could think of?
