network printing failure from second pc

Every time I try to print something a text bubble says," This document failed to print." That's all fine, but it won't say why. I checked to make sure the port was correct, and the printer was installed correctly.

That can be caused by a lot of things, it would help us help u if u provide more information, such as your network settings, printer used, computers and OS

Is the printer connected to a computer and shared to others via network, or is it a network printer, connected directly to the network? If it's connected to a computer, can it print from that computer? Have u checked the "file and printer sharing" in network setting? Have u shared the printer from the master computer? Have u tried reinstalling the printer driver?

Event Viewer (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer) might show more information about why it failed.

Can you print a test page from printer properties?

if the computer that the printer is connected to is not turned on, it will not print.
