    Hey peeps,

I have a friend who runs his own business (travel agency) he has a network set-up at his work place.

One of the pc's he no longer requires at work and instead he would like to keep it at home for his personal use but would like to keep his programs and data intact.

How do you turn a pc that runs on a network to operate as a single pc?

It's a dell pc that's running Windows XP

EDIT: I spelt network incorrectly in the thread title

Probably, he won't have to change anything. Unless his work place used some kindof VPN software, he should be able to plug directly into his modem and surf the Internet.

'disconnect from the domain controller group'
use local login instead of network login
set and use a Workgroup Name
