Network unplugged...but it's not

  1. My one HD died on me today...so I use my other to install XP Pro. After that, I attempt to get my network up and running. But, my Ethernet is seen by windows in device manager. I keep getting "area connections unplugged" or something to that effect. How do I correct this?

    Oh man...

I read something about making sure the NIC lights were on...mine wern't. It turns out, somehow someway the power cable leading into the motherboard came loose. Just enough so the onboard NIC would not turn on. Thanks for the reply!!
