New 2.5' SATA HDD does not seem to pickup on LG C500 Laptop

Good Day,

Hope that you are able to help me with this issue I am experiencing with a new HDD.

So basically I bought a new internal 2.5' HDD for the LG C500 laptop due to the old HDD giving errors when re-installing Windows 7 onto it.

The new HDD which was purchased is unable to pickup on in the BIOS of the LG C500 laptop.

I have tested the new HDD on my a other desktop PC and it picks up.

I also tested the old HDD on the laptop and it picks up.

I find it very strange the laptop does not pickup the new HDD in the BIOS.

Do anyone please have a solution to the problem I am experiencing.

Thank you

Logan

@trekzone, Thanks for the prompt reply. It a seagate 2.5' 500gb HDD (internal). I was also thinking about flashing the bios but since I haven't done it before I am struggling a bit with it. I have however downloaded the bios files from google. Can you please provide me with instructions on how to create a bootable USB to flash the bios?

It could be your LGC500 cannot accept larger size of HDD try 320 GB HDD if it will picking up or try to change IDE to ACHI on your BIOS settings.

Thanks for your reply @Benmar. The hdd what I replaced as a 500gb hdd as well. And I was in the bios and couldn't find an option to change IDE to ACHI.
