  1. Hey im building a computer for my friend:
    amd 64 3000+ 939
    MSI k8n neo4
    asus ati x700 pro pci-e 16
    1gb corsair value ram
    80gb hd (not installed)
    dvd-burner (not installed)

Ok, right out of the box, the videocard, mobo, cpu, and ram wouldn't post. I took out the ram and put it in my comp, no post.
Put my ram in his still no post. Its either the cpu, video card, or motherboard. Now all the fans are running, cpu fan, video fan, and mobo fan. I really doubt its the video card, i can test that on my friends comp. I really haven't delt with msi much, i usally go with but my friend was on a budget, and i hear msi is the next best thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You said you put his value RAM in your PC and got a "no POST" or is that a misprint?

The "still" in the next sentence seems to imply it wasn't a typo. Which means, it doesn't make sense why you are not calling the RAM the culprit, does it?
