Hmm; Interesting proposal. In the PCmag.com article, there's a frank disclosure on what would/would not be available in FF under this development. Hardware features (eg: GPU acceleration) and insecure cookies are mentioned.
Where a site does not implement a shopping basket (ie does not directly sell to its vistors), such a change would impact sites like Techspot - - depending precisely upon the details. The root issue here is the price of purchasing a SSL key for non-profit sites.
