New HDD problem

I recently brought a new WD 200gb SATA HDD.
It is functioning fine... but the problem is it makes the chirping sound everytime its accessed. Its not very loud. But to my knowledge, isnt a new HDD supposed to be silent? I got the chirping sound in my old HDD only after using it for 3 years. I havent even loaded it up yet and am just using around 12gb of the 200.
Should I return it or get it exchanged??

you can compare the same model hard drive sound and decide to exchange or not.
