New here...having Desktop Problems

Im new here..hey to everyone...
Sorry of this is in the wrong thread....
Im having problems with my desktop, my desktop shows a giant desktop folder (the side bar is taking up the whole left side) on the whole left side of the screen. I cant click on it or delete it, so i dont know how to get rid of it.
Since this problem happened i havent been able to open control panel as well..

Any help would be appreciated

click reply and under the text box theres additional options, one is Manage Attachments, click that. then post a reply
