New MOBO, now PC is slower?

Installed new board (775i65G ASRock) everything works ok, i had to install drivers from disc supplied to get USB and audio working, but besides that it all hooked up straight away.However it seems PC is slower! Any suggestions?(Pent 4 3GHz, 1 Gb RAM)

If you re-used your RAM it may be that it is not compatible with the board.
Sorry to be depressing, but I have had to stop using ASRock boards as too many of them had to go back.

The RAM is DDR 400 which is the same as my RAM sticks. I only got board as was cheap and i new it was compatable with my CPU and RAM and i didnt want to spend much money for now. Would reinstalling windows help. I loved footrot flats as a kid lol.

I take it that the CPU and Heat Sink is mounted correctly, with heatsink paste and all. Because system slowness can come from an overheating CPU if mounted incorrectly.

Also Repair Windows is a good idea, to make sure all is sound

Try reseating the chip as recommended by kimsland.
At last someone has recognised the dog!
