Solved New Motherboard, no sound, windows vista, malware?

Going to run all the things you recommended but I have had my computer on only twice, went to facebook and msn.com and now have a pop up from "reimage" which is telling me there are 140 problems with my computer. I assume it's a "phishing" ad but not sure if it is part of the virus or something else.

You must have clicked on something.
Reimage is a scam.
See if if it's listed in Control Panel.
If so uninstall it.

Thanks, did so. My windows loaded up really slow this morning, when I get home from working I will run all the diagnostics that need to be done weekly.

Just popping in to say that I am having windows update problems again....code 80070663....I know part of it is my problem since I did not create a restore point after I updated the 81 updates last time. Have been using the Windows Repair All in one, it's not getting it this time. Glad you got the donation!

Any updates. There were 7....I am kicking myself for not doing restore point,I fell asleep that night and didn't remember to do it....

Okay so the updates are for Microsoft Windows Office 2007....checking out fixes on their website....
