New motherboard= recovery cd wont work says: wrong model

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has run into the same problem as I have. I own a HP 873n media center pc. The motherboard went out and I replaced it with another one (gigabyte). Now when i attempt to use the recovery cd's i get an error that says: "These PC recovery discs do NOT support this PC model". Could it be the DMI strings? if so how would I change it back to stock. If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Justin.

The hp supplied windows cd will only work on a totally hp pc!!!!

You will need to buy a new windows cd in order to get it going, there is no other legal way!!!!!
