I am trying to install a new OS (Windows XP Pro) onto this computer and for some reason it won't boot from the CDROM. I have formated the HD with partition magic but it won't boot from CD to install OS. Any suggestions?

You might like to try the winxp setup boot disks.

they are available from microsoft.com, and there's a different version of the setup for eac service pack. All versions require 6 formatted floppy disks.

Hey thanx fellas, I figured out the problem though. I am such an ***** at times. I guess no sleep for 2 days will get you that way. I put the Windows CD in the other CDROM drive and it booted right up to the disk.

    lol! That usually helps, yes.

Been there, done that - these things happen, and I sympathise with the sleep thing ;)
