Hi I’m in need of help. I just got 2x1gb pc400 400mhz ram cards (My motherboard is a pc3200 heard its compatible) I put them in alone with my old ram. I booted up too my desktop and then got a blue screen saying Must shut down PC to protect from damaging it. At the bottom it said dumping physical memory. After waiting about 5min and nothing happening I held the Power button to shut down. After putting back in the old ram how it was it won’t power on at all almost like the power is unplugged. I tried the old ram again in different orders and such and no luck plez help :)

Take all ram out, and try to boot. Tell me if you get any beeps, as you should have a series of beeps.

Regards Jase :)

Put the old ram in and clear the cmos. Your mobo manual will tell you how to do that.
