New video card, blurry screen...

  1. I just bought a new ATI Radeon 9250 128MB video card and installed it and it's drivers and everything, and my screen is a bit blurry, enough to make it annoying. I have concluded that it is not my monitor because my old graphics card worked perfectly fine with it. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Have u tried adjusting the refresh rate and\or resolution?

Yes, at a lower resolution (than 1280x1024) you may not notice it but it is only because the objects on the screen are bigger. At a lower refresh rate (than 75 hertz) it is still blurry. The image is distorted to the right by about 10 pixels.

In that case, I'd RMA the card if I were u.

Oh, return it. I thought it was some technical term. Yeah I'm probably going to do that...

Is your monitor a CRT or a LCD panel?

    BTW, Welcome to Techspot! :)

Hey thanks, I have a CRT monitor. And everything works and looks perfectly fine with my old graphics card in.

It looks like your new video card is failing. I think you should RMA it... :(

Damn, alright. I got a $90 rebate on it, so I'm not sure they'll let me return it...

Yeah I returned it, they said it was faulty. New one works great! Thanks.
