I want to replace my NVidia MX 440 64 Mb video card with a cheap model with more memory (256mb?). Is there any possibility that my PCChips M484 motherboard won´t recognize a modern card? (It supports AGP8x).
Possible candidates are RADEON 9250 and GeForce 6200.

Should work OK, but 128 MB card will work about as well as 256 mb on that motherboard... some aspects of performance might even be better.
Good AGP cards are becoming rare... I would go for the FeForce 6200.
Your PCChips M484 is a decent board, for a budget system.

Thank you for your help. But...

How come 128 is better than 256? This computer is mostly used to do 3D graphics in ArchiCad 11, I´d believe more memory is better, but I don´t know much about the topic. The 256 MB card is actually a little bit cheaper than the 128.

For a better gpu for the money, a 9600 works very well. Check my system specs, i used to use a 9550 256meg, i now use a 9600 128meg and its quite a bit faster.
