i extraced the file to location it said to, no restart or ne thig required< did i install the updades ritght?

thanks;)

Ive got Doom 3 installed on my spare computer wiht XP 1700 processor and Radeon 8500. It runs at 1024 resolution and 30FPS. But I would reccomend putting in an extra 512mb of system memory. Im not sure if your processor can be OC'd though.

Thanks

Thanks again

So your saying that the ram and viedo card together wont work with the prosser, and hoe (if possable can u over clock it. Im a noocie at this overclocking stuff.

No, your system is fine. I just meant that you will have better gaming performance with more system memory. 256mb is the minimum. More memory will make multitasking easier and games will load faster.

They are basically the same but I would go for one with a cooling fan. I dont care for passive heatsinks.

ok and this will run sims 2 right because thesims 2 sugents that you have an ati radion 9800pro

im gonna wait till after christmas to get it mabe in tyhe newyear, my cuzon is gettin sims 2 and im gonna try it on my comp asnd see how bad the grafics are (iif it runs at all whitch i dont think it wil).

Can u gimme the link wit the one wit the colling fan

i was also lookin at thre reideon 9600

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=14-164-021&DEPA=1

but it mite be over kill 4 me comp but i like it because its only like 3 or 4 usd more wat should i do?

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-131-243&depa=0

its says 8x compatable only

thanks i think ill be getin it after christmas, and does it madder if it is the real breand or genirc. and should i get the 1 wit the fan or does it not madder. THnaks 4 all ur help one again u saved me a crap load of researche.

Thanks;)

will i have to do anything with bios once i get the card, because i was reading the 9800oro revews (for fun) and they said they had to do sometihng with bois, and if i get the 9600 with a heatsink and upgrade the ram do you think my computer will run to hot. Right now my computer is blowing like room tempture air out, do you think i would need a biger fan or a am i good . And the power suppily is good for the card?

The BIOS should be fine. If you are going to do alot of gaming Id get a card with a fan. It wont ad any heat to the case and you only need to upgrade the power supply if you go with a newer card- 9800 and up. Also stay away from 64bit cards. Only get 128 bit.

ok and whats the difference betwwen the 9600se and the other 9600's and can i get the cheape rwith the heatsink or is it to risky?

I like this card because of the price and the revews and the specs the stuff inside

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-164-021&depa=0

or this is the one wit the fan i like but im not crazy about the price i relly wanted to say below $80usd but ill go 4 the $89usd one but $102.50usd + tax and shipping is a little steep.

this is the card wit the fan its 102.50usd

The SE cards have 64 bit memory that has terrible performance. That Rosewill card is really good and its ok that it doesnt have a fan, it also has 128 bit memory.

soo i sohuld go with the rosewell th most gaming ill do is 1hour-1and a half hours at a tim e tops. and ill let it rest for 1-3 hours usally because i get sick of the game if i playe it for more then 1-1and half hours. DO u think that www.newegg.com will have a sale after chritmas and newsyears of that stuff cause thats when ill order, i think i might build or bye a new computer in 2006 because then my current computer will be 5 years old, i can transfer that into a new computer right, and put my old biedo card back in thins one when sell it ore give this comouter awat.

ALso if i get ram what kind will it accept on one or two of the revews on newegg they say all pc-133 ram isnt the same i see som 35- 36usd ram will it work?

all pc133 ram

and
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-223-010&depa=0

so go with the fan for 12,50 usd more or risk it and go with the heatsink, could that burn my computer if it dont got a fan or lite\make a fire or what should i do thanks.

the card with the fan went down a dolor u think it will go down any more thatks again the fan like is above one of the posrts above, plese get backe to me on the viedo cvard and the ram, and will i be able to run all the games wit only 256 ram for the time beigbg (6months ) or thiill theres a sale i would gwt the ram for my birthda in augest 25th sohuld i wait thaty long?

Thanks

The Rosewill card without the fan is fine. I wouldnt get an nvidia card without a fan be cause they run very hot but its nothing that would damage your computer. If you get the 256mb video card you can probably skip the extra system memory but thats the cheapest Ive seen SDRAM in a long time. $35 is a great price. Newegg has some sells but they already have the lowest prices Ive found. And you will see a big difference in gaming and day to day use if you got up to 512mb.
