I'm looking to upgrade my video card and was wondering what to get. I dunno whether to wait for the new nvidia cards to come out and get one of those or just get a gf4 ti4600.

And sort of another question within one, what is the best company to get a vid card from (PNY,VisionTek,MSI,etc)

    Dude, you're getting a 9700.

Why not? They're cheaper than GF4's, and they're faster too.

But, go NVIDIA if you'd like. If it was me, I'd buy a 4600 now.

hmmm everywhere i've checked prices the 9700 is always at least $80 more than the gf4

The 9700's currently sell for around $320-350; though the holiday season will most likely bring in a drop.

for the extra $ = not only higher frame rates and features, but excellent quality video playback as well.

the ti 4600 is still NVIDIA's top tier for now, and if u aren't too concerned about framerate or features, and need to spend less, go for that instead. i would personally stick to some brand names; kinda tie between Gainward and MSI, IMO.
