Newbie with F8 key issue in WIN XP PRO

    Hi,

    Had a PC since 1991 (good old dos days) Windows has always been a challenge and now the internet ?! what can I say......

    Where do I go for help with getting in to the dos mode ? I have used F8 and my computer just ignores me... :)

    I know that within Windows you can use an icon, but I have a particularly annoying virus to delete - (mssearchnet.exe) :-(
