Nightmare 7 days

Hi everyone,

Last week, my self-built 8 year old computer died a death. It had been running near-perfectly for years.
Most components were pretty old but I did buy a Corsair VS650w PSU and a Kingston V300 120GB SSD within the last 12 months.
GPU-wise I had 2 x Gigabyte HD7700 in Crossfire. Not identical though but pretty similar.
GV-R777OC-1GD (rev. 2.0)
GV-R777OC-1GD (rev. 1.0)

I kept the PSU, GPU's and SSD and added (excuse the copy&paste):
Kingston Fury Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C15 2400MHz
Intel Core i5-6600K 3.9GHz (Skylake)
Asus Z170-K Intel Z170 Motherboard
Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator Cooler

Installed Win10 64 Pro to the SSD with no problems. Version 1607 OS Build 14393.222
Deleted all partitions and formatted prior to install.
Updated the Radeon drivers to latest (16.30.2311) as I have 3 displays running on HDMI, DVI-D and miniDP.
Updated on-board audio driver to latest (V6.0.1.7701)

I am getting a lot of problems with the build.
Computer crashes on 100% of restarts
Computer crashes on 25% of shutdowns
Computer crashes on 25% of boots
Doesn't come out of sleep mode
Some boot times are not what you'd expect for this setup. After showing the windows boot logo it can take another 2 minutes to display the login screen, sometimes not at all and it needs a few key strokes for it to show.

I have tried a clean install of Windows but nothing.

Any ideas?

No easy unless you see something in Event Viewer or hear beep codes.

Reduce components to bare essentials.

If near bare assembly is error prone, try swapping PSU, then RAM, then GPU - until you have a good system.

If errors stop, slowly add back until it fails again.
