i have installed NIS 2005 on my laptop just today and for some reason i can go on internet with my wireless usb adapter, it seems like NIS blocked the traffic because i tried turning off the NIS security thing, then it worked.
    any suggestions ?

    Uninstall NIS.

Sorry, but you will find that most here agree that it's a bloated piece of rubbish.

I would suggest using Zone Alarm or Sunbelt Kerio for your Firewall and AVG for your antivirus.

any other solutions other than uninstall it?

Not from me I'm afraid. Maybe someone else might have an option for you, but in honesty, NIS is almost entirely useless. Not only does it slow down the machine, take up space, and cause annoying problems such as the one you're experiencing now, over the past few months Norton AV in particular has prooved to be somewhat of a security risk itself.

I can honestly think of no good reason that it's worth keeping.
