NIS, can't log in as an administrator

I have nis on my system, i want to get rid of it, when i try unistall the software it say i do not have admisitrative rights and must lon on as a admin, when i go to do this i'm unable to think of any password that would log me in as an admin. this is my computer, i'm the only one who uses it, i intalled nis i think, or maybe it came with win xp. any thoughts would be great. thanks dano

Log off from your normal user and log in as Administrator with a blank password field.
You could also try passwords such as (mind the capitals): password, Password, admin, Admin.

Furthermore, Symantec has an uninstall-program on its website.
If your system is relatively new and 'lean', it might be faster to safe your user-data, wipe the harddisk and reinstall from scratch.
