"no bios installed" after new k8v se deluxe mb installed

Just installed a new k8v se mb into an existing system and it won't boot. Keep getting the error "no bios installed" and something about no drive connected to fast trak. There are two ide hdd installed in the system as well as two cd rom dives. It has win xp home os already on the master hdd. Any help you can offer is most appreciated. Thanks

you cant just swap motherobards and expect windows to boot. when windows installs it creates the HAL ( Hardware Abstraction Layer) which is specific to the machine that windows is being installed on. if the motherboard you are installing is the same as the one you removed then you shouldnt have a problem but if they are different then it wont boot. you will have to either do a clean install (best option) or do a repair install over the existing installation to fix the problem.
