No folders in explorer menu

  1. Hi,
OK my problem isn't exactly life threatening, just annoying:p
In any menus on my computer there are no little pictures beside the shortcuts. eg. in explorer-the folder menu at the side only has words. It also happens in Nero and the Favorites menu. Makes getting around a bit more difficult because you don't know if your clicking on a folder or just a shortcut. Its driving me mad!

    XP +service pack1
had a look at folder options but nothing sprung out.

    Thanks in advance

A simple restart might correct the problem.

Look for a file called ShellIconCache, I think it is located under the Windows directoy. Remove it (the file, not the directory :p ).
