What anti-virus are you running OR have installed?

Are you using a VPN - - or do you know what that is?

Omg suddenly that yellow mark on wifi signal disappeared. But I get this on the browser : this site cannot be reached.

I had avast but I uninstalled after this happened. I had ultrasurf VPN extension on my google chrome.

I installed malwarebytes , rouguekiller after this problem occurred.

Concerned; our tests show your DNS is failing, but you're online using Chrome? Is this the same system or are you using two different systems?

I use the same computer. But I cannot use chrome even though my wifi is connected. It shows up an error when I try to go to google : this site cannot be reached.this page temporarily down or may have permanently moved to a new web address

OF COURSE, until the PING using a name works, no web site will work!

DISABLE malwarebytes , rouguekiller and disable the VPN

btw: restart the firewall NET START MpsSvc in the Admin window

When I rebooted my firewall was turned on again. Should I do,
NET STOP MpsSvc
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
NET STOP "DNS CLIENT"

And do the ping?

Well Sis, you need a System Restore or a Repair Install - - I can't take you any further, so sorry.

Yeah I thought so too. Anyhow thank you so much for your time and for the help! :):)(y)(y)
And I found out vaio laptops can be factory resetted without a cd. So I'll do that :) :)

Thanks again!
Much love from sri lanka <3
