hi i recently installed windows xp pro but in my start menu there is no option to log off (its usually beside turn off computer)
plus when i start the pc it just logs me straight into windows without clicking a user

to set up auto login
Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2
Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" check box
Click Apply.
Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with, and then click OK.
lick OK again and you're all done.

By default, on a fresh install, if Windows XP only sees 1 user account and it doesn't have a password, it will automatically log onto that account at startup.

Since i have the only account my my machine, I use this as a personal reminder to go create a password, because Windows will not automatically log in to an account if a password is set (unless configured to do so)
