Hey world. I am new to linux and I've been downloading flavors of linux trying to find one I can get my wife to live with. I'm on mandrake right now which is good, but I've read good things about lycoris. So now I've downloaded the iso files for lycoris. I go though the setup, play my game of solitare and after it's all done and the system reboots, I get a "no operating system" error. I'm going crazy cause i just installed a new os. I am using the update4. Any suggestions?

Most likely you did not install the bootloader to the MBR but to the Lycoris partition itself. Try installing again but choosing /dev/hda (or whatever) as the target for bootloader instead of /dev/hda1 (or whatever)
