No sound devices

I have an e-machines T 6528 pc with windows xp home edition, i toasted my motherboard and brought my pc to a local repair shop . they replaced my motherboard and now i have no sound and no sound devices installed. i believe the new mb is a biostar. how can i get my sound back?

So do you mean under "installed hardware" while running "add hardware" there aren't any yellow question marks next to the devices? If there are then drivers just haven't been installed yet. The wizard should be able to find the drivers for you, but if not you will need specifics for your motherboard. (just ask the repair shop)
If nothing else pick up a cheap sound card
