  1. My mobo doesn't have sound drivers installed and I can't seem to find anything (anything at all) on the type of board I have. It's a Microstar 6553, which, according to a few searches, apparently doens't exist. Just need to know where I might be able to find the downloadable drivers or something that will help. Also, could I bypass this problem by installing a separate sound card?

Microstar 6553, if i m not mistaken maybe a nForce Motherboard. On second thought, i would strongly recommend you to download this software here. This program will list out all the specifications of you computer, that might help us more to get you the solution as soon as possible.
