No Sound - Help please?

  1. Recently, I un-installed Windows XP.
    When I reinstalled it, my sound card/multimedia audio controller wasn't working properly.
    On another forum, somebody sent me a link to a driver, but as I tried to install it I got an iKernal.exe error.

    I did a Everest report if you need any of this information.
    Pleaaaaaaaaase help me! I need my sound back.

    Always try downloading drivers directly from the manufacturer first. What card is it? Is it integrated with your motherboard? If so, what mobo is it?

    well you might be able to get a driver from windows update but i would recommend looking it up on the dell website first
