No sound on dvd playback

I am using a Creative Labs Audigy 2-ZS sound card. The sound works great with cd's or mp3 files but there is no sound on dvd playback (the picture is great though) The problem is common with Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player. Is there a simple solution?

What version on Media Player? 11?

try updating your codecs. k-lite works nicely

I downloaded the AC3 Filter and everything is working fine now!
