  1. Hello to the TechSpot people.

I wondered if you can help me. I read one of the posts on here and think I have the same problem.

Would it be possible for someone to give me some advice as I'm a bit worried about messing up my computer. I've downloaded HijackThis & managed to get a hijackthis.txt. from my PC.

    Thanks for any Input.

    :)

    Follow these instructions EXACTLY
How to remove Begin2Search/Coolwebsearch and Other Nasties

get rid of these as well when you get to them O4 group
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsupdater] C:\Program Files\winsupdater\winsupdater.exe /auto
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [] winlog.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [] winlog.exe

Then post a new Hijackthis log-file as an attachment.

Have followed your instructions and Hey Presto ! My Task Manager is back.

Here is a HijackThis.txt file. Hope I'm clean.

Thanks very much for your help. Thank god for sites like this and people like yourself. I do have one other issue but I will start a new thread.

    Once again, thanks.

    Cheers.

The log is clean. A little bit of clutter, but nothing nasty.
