No TV output using NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

I am trying to make a media center PC from my last computer. I am having trouble getting the screen to appear on my TV using both the dual and clone mode. My TV is showing some colors close to what my monitor shows, but it is scrolling and not really viewable. When I pull windows up on my computer monitor, I cannot see the color changes on the TV screen to show that it is actually the screen I'm seeing.

If someone has used a GeForce FX5200 card on a TV before I would appreaciate instructions from the ground up. I am very fustrated with this "easy task" of putting my computer on my TV!!

I am using Windows XP Professional on a Pentium 4 3.4GHz system with 1 GB of RAM. I have all the updated drivers from NVIDIA for the card installed.

Hi and welcome to techspot. For starters, please make sure your motherboard supports dual monitors. I know this form experience, because I once had a motherboard that actually did NOT, much to my surprise.
