No TV Screen from PC, sound OK, problem Windows XP

I have connect my PC to TV. All instructions followed. PC connection - S-video(7 pin) to Composite video signal. Is there something in Windows Xp that causes my video on the TV not to display? Please Help.

Have you gone into the display settings and set up the TV screen as a monitor (assuming this is what you want to do)?

I have set up the TV from the PC, but find no display on TV. Is there a setting in Windows XP that I must set? I have tried the setting TV and PC numerious times but I think something in Windows XP is forcing it not to display.

Did you select the corect input on the TV set? Dows Windows actually detect that there is a TV set connected? Some video cards require you to reboot to detect any connected displays.

What adaper(s) are you using to get from 7-pin to composite? Is it supposed t owork with your video card?
Different video card makers use different pinouts.
