No User Name Selection in Windows Logon Screen

    Hi,

    I am using Windows XP Home Edition and all of a sudden I encounter the following problem :

    After I start up my pc and it reaches the Logon screen, there are no user name for me to select and thus I cannot logon to my pc now. I tried restarting the pc in safe mood but it end up restarting the pc again and again.

    What can I do next (except formatting my pc)??
