    hi all,
i seem to be having a problem with my computer that im putting together,

when i plug my agp 8x video card in (which is brand new, not been used before) i get nothing, no system beeps to say its all good and no signal.

but when i remove the card and try it i get the system error for video problems which is the long beep followed by to short beeps

the board im running it on has no onboard video either.

are you able to help me out.

Does the system actually boot, even though there is no signal, or does it just hang?

as far as i know it doesnt boot, and it doesnt help having no OS to boot, im yet to install the OS on the HDD.

OK. What motherboard is it? Are you sure the vid card is supported? Different AGP speeds and voltages may not be supported and you may even damage the card or the mobo.

the mobo is a gigabyte 8TRX330-L and the vid card is a Ares ATI Radeon 9550 AGP 8x
