This computer has been working fine for years.
Now it does not boot up.
    Pentium III
    MoBo Intel 815

    Fan working.
    Not beeps.
    Not image on monitor screen.
Graphics card and monitor tested on another computer and work fine.
If not memory in slot it beeps.
Power supply changed after measuring with voltimeter 4,5 v instead of 3,3 v.
All peripherics out and still the same.
CMOS battery taken out but no change.
Try to recover bios using diskette but does not power diskette drive.
Should appear any message in screen altough no peripherics are out ?
Any ideas on what is going on and possible solutions ?

    Welcome to TechSpot

Looks like your CPU is fried.
Try to find one of the same type on www.ebay.com

But in that case, how is it checking for memory in the memory slot ? It seems to me that this work is done by the CPU.

The BIOS causes beeps if there is no memory, not the CPU.

Perhaps you can carefully try to re-seat your CPU, but I still think it is shot.
