not recognising correct size of hdd

  1. i'm trying to fit a 160 gig hdd to my pc to replace the 12 gig which is partitioned 8 and 4 but the new hdd is being seen by the pc as an 8 gig can anybody advise me thanks dave. :blush:

    What says that your new drive is 8GB?

    What motherboard are you using?

    We're using narrow bandwidth crystal ball on this site.

    the hdd is a samsung sp1614n 160 gig. board is an ali aladdin v agpset ga-5ax

    The board does support it. The latest driver is here. , but this won't read the full size either.
